Fall events aren’t just about pumpkin spice (although, let’s be real, it helps). They’re about connection. Hosting events this time of year is good for business and good for the soul. Plus, fall’s built-in aesthetic, golden leaves, crisp air, and an excuse to wear scarves indoors, makes every event instantly more photogenic.

This is a fantastic time for your event creators to shine and boost sales through ticketed events that are fun for the entire community.

Here’s your ultimate list of fall event ideas to inspire your next calendar drop, ticket launch, or “let’s get people together before winter hits” gathering.

  • Halloween Haunted Houses & Ghost Tours – The only time of year adults pay to be chased by a guy with a chainsaw.

  • Pumpkin Patch Visits & Corn Mazes – Family-friendly… until you realize you’re lost in the maze and the sun is setting.

Haunted Farm Event Example:

Fresh off the presses on Evvnt.com is the Spooktacular Halloween at McDonald Farm. We LOVE this family-friendly theme at a historical local landmark. It runs on the weekends and is extremely affordable.

The event is a 3 day event that’s become a beloved favorite in the community. Fantastic way to introduce local artists to the community.

Culture & Entertainment

  • Seasonal Film Screenings – From “Hocus Pocus” to fall-themed indie nights.

A huge DJ event taking place at BestofDaytona is their event creator’s Boogieman’s Ball happening in late Oct. Live performances, VIP tables and a costume contest will make for the perfect atmosphere. Here’s a copy sample.

Check out this event from OnTapTickets where they are taking full advantage of the gorgeous trees in the fall. Golden! Here’s some sample copy from that event.

On this tour, led by our staff arborist, we will take a closer look at some of the remarkable trees in the cemetery giving attendees a chance to appreciate the views and learn a little more about the physiology behind the season of letting go. Participants of all ages will be able to collect leaves from specimens during this tour. Please dress for the weather and off pavement terrain.”

This is an event I think we’d all love to attend!

  • Harvest-Themed Carnival Rides – Pumpkin ferris wheel, anyone?

  • Family Movie Nights Outdoors – BYO blankets and popcorn.

Pet Event Example:

Ticketing Price: $20-$40

Everyone loves bringing pets to events like the Fall Fido Fest on MyNorthTickets. These days most treat their pets as their own babies so of course they deserve some fall fun too.

This is a great idea for cross-promotions with groomers, dog walkers and photographers. Plus, of course food trucks!

Over at RedPinTix one of their event promoters is having their 17th Victorian Ghost Walk that sounds like a dream. The entire community comes together to participate in this ghostly play. They bring the past back to life and give them a stage. We’d definitely love to see that.

It’s time to remind our event creators that fall is one of the richest seasons for event programming. The weather is just right for both outdoor and indoor gatherings, the community is ready for seasonal connection, and the marketing practically writes itself (hello, pumpkins in every promo image).
