Looking to spice up your jazz venue’s calendar with creative, high-concept events? Pop-culture-themed nights are a powerful way to connect with new audiences, energize loyal fans, and create buzzworthy moments that drive ticket sales and brand recognition.

One of the best ways to make this happen is tapping into the imaginations and artistry of your event goers. Below are 7 immersive theme night ideas, inspired by movies, musicals, and cultural touchstones — with smart promotional tactics and monetization tips for each.

But first, our expert Customer Success Manager, Jason Porras, has some overall event promotion tips to share.

Relating to Marketing:
  • List events as soon as possible, the earlier your event is listed on our promotion’s platform the more SEO power it generates, and the more people see it.
  • Use a fun image of last year’s event or a good picture of the venue outside: if it includes the road and a landmark event better, people can say “Wow I know that place, let’s try it”
  • Our “Add Event” form has an Advanced version, click on that then on Page two you can add important “Artists”. Make sure you write in the name of your band or individuals playing, heck I’d even put in names of famous artists of similar music: if you have a Jazz Night, put Miles Davis or Charlie Parker
Relating to Ticketing:
  • Add a QR Code to posters, this avoids queues at the venue. Instead of getting in line people can purchase outside and scan right through. You’ll reduce the day’s stress that way. If you’re using our ticketing platform then we can generate one for you!
  • Discount early bird tickets can help sell tickets more evenly, more in advance and again helps reduce queues at the door on the day.
  • Sell merchandize through our ticketing platform, that way you know how much has sold so you’re not taking back lots of stock at the end of the night, you’ll know how much has sold, increase the stock by 30% for people on the day sales and you’ll avoid carrying so much stuff back.
