Today evvnt is celebrating its 2nd birthday thanks to its success and on going growth by developing and customising a product in line with customer’s feedback.
On the 1st of April 2012 Richard Green founded evvnt, after 12 years spent working in the tech space. The need for delivering value to an events organiser when it comes to marketing events became very clear for him. And so the journey began, by a savvy entrepreneur that wanted to solve a problem.
“We launched on April 1st, a day for foolish acts and here we are after an emotional 2 years with two driving forces that got us here… customers pushing us to build the software and a passionate team determined to keep the journey commercially viable,” explained Richard Green, founder and CEO of evvnt. “I look back on our journey and today have all the makings of a global brand, key partnerships, company acquisitions, an energised team and we certainly have an appetite for success.”
evvnt was launched to spread an event over 50 listings sites. This proved to give a wider audience reach and also amplify into delivering a good representation in organic search. Furthermore, Richard discovered the huge amount of event listings sites in mobile Apps. Strongly believing that through delivering events content on to multiple syndication events listings sites evvnt delivers value to event organisers.
From the beginning evvnt saw good traction from clients, who are all trying to fill a room. From here evvnt was quickly drawn into the conferencing space where the same problem exists and where we now have managed to produce a global conferencing service alongside our UK and international entertainments service. Here we can broadcast and publish an event to up to 75+ events listings sites based on genre and location of a conference, exhibition or a training course worldwide. On the 24th of February 2014 evvnt.de and the Berlin’s office was launched, as Germany is one of the top meeting and event destinations in Europe.
Strategic partnerships with event publishers, event organizers, marketing companies and event ticketing such as Chortle, Johnston Press, Planvine, The Luminar Group and XIBO marketing resulted in evvnt marketing product being promoted and sold to the partners customers.
Now used by 1000 customers in hundreds of cities all over the world we give thanks to an excellent team. We are excited to be springboarding the business in to 2014.
