Sans titre 6Here are a few tips that we think will drive people to your events and, more importantly, keep them coming back.
1. Invite people early
Diaries fill up fast, and many people like to plan ahead, so don’t leave it till the last minute to let people know about your latest event. If your event happens regularly then you could include pictures from a previous event or testimonials so people will know what to expect.
2. Send follow-up reminders
 In the weeks or days leading up to your next event – make sure you remind your guest-list when and where its taking place or add incentives like a free drinks coupon to entice any stragglers.
3. Promote your event through social media
 With a combined user base of over 750 million people; social networks like Twitter, Facebook and Pintrest are great tools to promote your events to a large audience.
4. Use your website
 There are plenty of clever ways to draw visitors to content on different pages of your website but if you hold events regularly, it’s crucial to promote your events on as many pages as possible.
To give your events plenty of exposure you can;
Create a highlighted area on your homepage that lists your events
Add a blog with news and pictures and make sure to include information and plenty of links to your upcoming events.
Host a sign-up form on your website to get people to sign-up for your events, receive an invitation or purchase tickets.
5. Ask your attendees for a little promotional help
When promoting your event on websites like Twitter, use #hashtags and ask your followers to RT if you’re attending and add Forward This To A Friend links in all your emails. You can also use location services like FourSqaure or Facebook Places to encourage your attendees to ‘Check’ In at your event at let their connections know where they are.
6. Remember to follow up with past attendees
 It’s always good to reward customer loyalty so don’t forget to send a follow up email, thanking your attendees for coming to your event, sharing pictures or video content from the night and adding information about your next event.
