San Francisco, California. 21st January 2020 – Events promotion engine Evvnt Inc. has appointed Peter Newton, previously COO of Gatehouse Media and currently president of Big Rock Consulting Group and Managing Director of Accelerate Local at the Local Media Association (LMA), as chairman of its board of directors, effective immediately.
His appointment enhances Evvnt’s focus on further growing the network of publishers in the U.S. who, in turn, can benefit from generating revenue from the $18.2 billion events industry.
Throughout his career, Peter Newton has built innovative new business approaches in local media and digital companies: including taking Propel Marketing/ThriveHive from conception to $80 million in 6 years and developing the ground-breaking BostonWorks recruitment division at the Boston Globe.
